The route

How credit repair works here

thecredit is self-service software: you stay in control of every dispute, and the AI does the reading, drafting, and tracking. Here is the whole route, base to summit.

1

Import your credit reports

Upload reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion — you can get all three free at annualcreditreport.com. The AI parses every tradeline, collection, inquiry, and public record.

2

Review what the AI flags

The AI marks items that look inaccurate, outdated, or unverifiable — wrong balances, accounts that aren't yours, collections past the reporting window, duplicate entries. You decide what's actually wrong: only you know your history, and disputing accurate information isn't something we do.

3

Approve FCRA-grounded dispute letters

For each item you choose to dispute, the AI drafts a letter citing the specific inaccuracy and your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. §1681i). You review and approve every letter before anything is sent — nothing goes out without your sign-off.

4

We mail and track, you watch everything

Approved letters go to the bureaus by USPS First-Class Mail with delivery tracking on every paid plan. The bureaus generally have 30 days to reinvestigate. Your dashboard tracks every delivery, deadline, and response, and tells you when a follow-up round makes sense.

What we won't do

We won't promise deletions, guarantee score gains, or dispute information you tell us is accurate. Accurate, verifiable negative items generally stay on your report until they age off. What software can do is make sure nothing inaccurate is costing you altitude — thoroughly, on all three bureaus, with the paperwork handled.
